Middle East Petrotech 2016 opens today in Bahrain

On September 26, Bahrain is set to host the 10th Middle East Refining and Petrochemicals Conference and Exhibition — Middle East Petrotech 2016, held under the patronage of His Royal Highness the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa. This year’s organizational committee of the Conference is headed by Vice President Saudi Aramco Abdulaziz M. Al-Judaimi, and supported by members of NOC, IOC, industrial associations and academic institutes.

6,000 sqm is devoted to the latest technologies, new product launches, equipment for deposit exploration, their environmentally-safe development, raw materials transportation to consumers, and best industry services in the refining and petrochemicals industry showcased by over 100 companies.

The Middle East Petrotech 2016 Conference and Exhibition is expected to attract over 3,500 attendees over 4 days who will utilize the event to initiate new business, learn, benchmark and network with associates from across the globe. The Middle East Petrotech opening ceremony will take place at the five-star Ritz Carlton Bahrain Hotel & Spa. The same venue will host the Industry Conference and the press-conference for media covering the exhibition and conference. The theme of this year’s edition of the biennial refining and petrochemicals exhibition and conference is «Teaming Up for Excellence: Industry, Government and Education» in order to analyze the proven industrial methods more effectively and faster implement them in production, which is directly correlated with the competitive performance of companies.

During the 63 technical sessions of the conference, there will be presented cases of companies, best practices and achievements in 9 sectors of industry: operational excellence, plant reliability & integrity, project challenges, energy management, HSE & risk management, smart plant & technology, market intelligence, catalyst management and people development.
New for 2016, a series of ‘Meet the Experts’ sessions will provide delegates with the opportunity to meet, consult and learn from recognized authorities on 10 key topics. They include: hydrotreating process, instrumentations and analyzers, fired heaters, reforming process, process safety, corrosion, hydrocrackers, rotating equipment, steam traps and FCC.
