ONS 2016 Exhibition & conference is opening in Norway

Today, August 29, specialized Oil & Gas Conference and Exhibition ONS 2016 is opening in Stavanger, Norway. ONS has for more than 40 years been an international meeting place for the leading companies of the energy industry who are ready to showcase their innovative solutions and equipment for high-technology works in natural resources production from the Northern Sea offshore deposits. This year, the ONS exhibition is expecting over 90,000 visitors, including over 30,000 foreign specialists. 

FRESHEXPO specialists provided a set of services, including hotel assignment, transportation and exhibition cargo freight, to Transneft Diascan, JSC.

Over the last few years, the situation in both Oil & Gas industry and the whole energy sector has significantly changed. Experts believe that new and cleaner ways of producing energy, deployment of offshore competence and resources in the renewable markets, and technical solutions for cost reduction and energy efficiency – will most probably give the market the necessary points of growth. In the course of numerous business meetings, negotiations, and other events on the business program, representatives of governmental structures, large and medium businesses, technical specialists and analysts, public organizations, contractors and suppliers of related spheres will be looking for ways to cut down expenses and increase productivity in Oil & Gas sector.

In 2016, ONS organizers have prepared a new exhibition hall (Hall 6) for showcasing modern Oil & Gas equipment and models of state-of-the-art solutions.  With the new hall, the total exhibition area will be over 37,000 sq. m. The entrance to the venue will also change, making it more convenient to reach ONS from the centre of Stavanger. Visitors are invited on technical tours around the best exhibition spaces depending on their business activity.

For many years, the ONS conference has been one of the best business events always held at top level. More than 400 speakers will talk on five arenas — from ministers to top-managers of leading companies.  A total of 18 companies, half of which is funded by the Research Council of Norway, the other half supported by Innovation Norway, are ready to present their technological solutions for a large international audience:  XSENS AS,  Solution Seeker AS,  Astralution, Vision IO, Pipeotech AS, InnSep AS,  Cybernetic Drilling Technologies AS, WiSub, METAS AS, VISAVI Technology AS, Subsea Chokes International, 4SUBSEA AS, Energy Dynamics AS, C6 Technologies AS, Ace Oil Tools, Interwell P&A AS, GOE-IP AS, Norhard AS.

At ONS, there are programs for young specialists, too: promising young people can learn about attractive career opportunities.

During the ONS conference, the following innovation awards will be handed out: ONS Innovation Award, SME Innovation Award, ONS Special Innovation Award, Best Stand Award (Larger than 50 sq. m and smaller than 50 sq. m), Roger Vielvoye Memorial Award, IOR prize – awarded by Norwegian Petroleum Directorate.

The ONS exhibition participants can visit not only serious business events. Every day, after the planned conferences and seminars, there will be music and entertainment within a walking distance from the exhibition centre. ONS also boasts of one of the best restaurant cities in Norway.

The exhibition will be open till September 1, 2016.
