Federal state unitary enterprise «The P. I. Baranov Central Institute of Aviation Motors» (also known as the «Central Institute for Aviation Motor Development named after P. I. Baranov» or simply «Central Institute of Aviation Motors», CIAM or TsIAM), established in 1930.

CIAM pursues fundamental scientific research and is the only scientific institution in Russia that conducts a complete cycle of research in aircraft engine manufacturing and provides technical assistance of end products.

Specialists of the enterprise design, engineer, and test innovative models of aircraft, marine, and stationary engines, develop new fuel and lubrication materials, and manufacture equipment with maximum energy efficiency or running on renewable sources of energy, etc.
